Now E $38 Movie Rental Pass ("Pass”) Terms and Conditions
1. Customers must redeem the promotion code to activate the Pass no later than 31 December 2024, failing which the Pass will expire without compensation.
2. To enjoy the Pass, customers can download the Now E mobile application (the “Application”) onto your mobile phone or tablet; or visit our Now E website at www.nowe.com (the “Website”); or log into Now E Android TV box to register for or sign into a Now E account. After registering for or signing into a Now E account, please go to “My Account”, select “Redeem Promotion Code”, and enter the promotion code to redeem the Pass. Choose “Rent” service. Choose the movie you want and press “Rent”. Then, choose “Use 1 Rental Pass”. If customers register for a Now E account using their personal email address, they must complete the entire Now E account registration process by clicking on the authentication link within 48 hours thereafter.
3. The Pass can be used to watch movies with a retail/listed rental price of HK$38 or below on Now E, each Pass can be used once only. If the total amount of the movie rental is less than HK$38, the remaining balance of the Pass will be forfeited.
4. You may enjoy unlimited viewing of the rented movie within 48 hours after your start watching the movie for the first time or downloading, whichever is earlier.
5. PCCW shall not be liable for invalidation or loss of any promotion code.
6. Please note that all programming on Now E can only be viewed in Hong Kong for your private domestic viewing only and must not be shown or exhibited for any public or commercial purposes.
7. Supported devices include Mobile device: Apple iPhone and iPad (iOS / iPadOS), Android Mobile and tablet (Android OS), Huawei Mobile and tablet (Harmony OS), Now E supports the latest and one previous version of the above mobile device operating systems. Computer and web browser: Mac: macOS Big Sur or newer version (iOS app not supported), Chrome, Safari, PC：Windows 10 or newer version, Chrome Edge (Chromium version). Smart TV and TV box: Now E Android TV box, Android TV (Android TV model and set-up box with Android OS 8.0 or later), LG TV (2020 models or newer with WebOS 5.0 or later), Samsung TV (2019 models or newer with Tizen OS 5.0 or later). Now E also supports AirPlay, Chromecast and HDMI. Requirements relating to supported devices are subject to change from time to time. Please refer to www.nowe.com for the latest requirements.
8. Now E service quality depends on the quality of the signal received, internet conditions, server speeds, network conditions, coverage, locations, the device used, hardware, software, usage levels and other factors.
9. Restrictions on number of devices and concurrent viewing: Each Now E account can only be used to log in for a maximum of five (5) different devices; and for two (2) concurrent video viewings.
10. Please note that video streaming may consume significant amounts of mobile data. You are responsible for keeping track of your mobile data charges. Please contact your mobile data service provider for more information. For example, watching a 60 minute live broadcast may consume 2GB of mobile data or more.
11. The streaming quality of video content for Now E is adaptive according to the available bandwidth. You are advised to do the following to enjoy an optimal viewing experience on Now E:
  1. Except for the Application, turn off other unnecessary running applications to free up more system resources.
  2. Video streaming quality is affected by the speed of your internet connection. Insufficient bandwidth and other factors such as inappropriate equipment set-up and equipment incompatibility may lead to interrupted video streaming, pixilated video, disruption in streaming, audio that is not synchronized with video etc.
  3. Do not upload or download any files when playing video, in order to minimize impact on the quality of video playback.
  4. If your device is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi, please check if the Wi-Fi signal is normal. Internet speed may also be affected if too many users are connected to the same Wi-Fi access point or if many users are sharing the same radio spectrum. In addition, the distance between the Wi-Fi modem and the mobile device or personal computer will directly affect the stability of the network reception.
12. PCCW reserves the right to amend the technical specifications and requirements relating to Now E and the Android TV Box at any time with or without prior notice.
13. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong SAR and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong SAR. By activating the promotion code and using the Pass, you are deemed to have read and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, “Now E Terms and Conditions”, “Now E Android TV Box Terms of Use” and “Now E Things to Know” (available for viewing at https://www.nowe.com/tnc/service, https://www.nowe.com/tnc/tvbox and https://www.nowe.com/help/thingstoknow). In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions, the Now E Service Terms and Conditions, the Now E Android TV Box Terms of Use and the Now E Things to Know, the inconsistency shall be resolved in the descending order of preference as set out in this clause.
14. The promotion code or pass cannot be exchanged for cash, returned or resold; and will not be replaced if damaged. PCCW shall not be liable for invalidation or loss of, or damage to, any pass and promotion code.
15. In the event of discrepancy or inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall apply and prevail.
16. Promotion code, Pass, Now E, the Application and Website are provided by PCCW. The decisions of PCCW in all matters arising in relation to promotion code, the Pass, Now E and other related matters are final and binding.
